Pre-Employment Medical assessment

The purpose of a Pre-Employment Medical Assessment is not to exclude, but rather to determine the safety and the suitability of the candidate in the proposed role. At The Work Doctor, we work closely in partnership with our clients to understand the specific risks and needs of their workplace, job roles, the demographics of the workforce and the level of risk that is able to be tolerated and managed within the business.


Our pre-employment medical includes:

  • Height
  • Weight
  • BMI Calculation
  • Blood Pressure
  • Vision check
  • Urinalysis
  • Review of Medical History by one of our doctors
  • Whole person assessment by one of our doctors

How do I make an appointment?

You can make an appointment by contacting our administrative team on (07) 5574 5792. 


What happens with the results?

The results will be emailed to your company within one business day, unless we are waiting for further information needed to complete the medical. 


Who will be performing the medical assessment? 

All medical assessments are performed by our Occupational Physicians or Registrars with the assistance of our nurses and medical screeners. 


Can I add extra services to my pre-employment medical?

Yes. We are able to offer tailor made assessments to suit the candidate and the proposed role. Extra features such as functional assessments, audiometry testing, drug and alcohol screening, vaccinations and many more can be added.
